Process

Our process, written down before you sign anything.

You should know what happens in week one, week six and month nine before you commit a budget. This is the sequence we run on every account, and the parts where we need something from you are marked.

Stage 01

Audit

Week 0 / Free / Yours to keep

Before anyone talks about money, we do the work. You get a written audit whether you hire us or not, and it is specific enough that another agency could execute from it.

  • Full technical crawl, index coverage review and a check for manual actions
  • Search Console read across 12 months, looking for what you have already lost
  • Google Business Profile review with a grid scan of your map pack position, for local businesses
  • Ad account review including the search terms report and every conversion action
  • Three closest competitors examined on the terms that actually carry buying intent
  • A ranked list of fixes, with the ones that will move first at the top
What we need from you

Read-only access to Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Ads and your Business Profile, plus 45 minutes on a call. Nothing else, and no access that lets us change anything.

Stage 02

Plan

Weeks 1 to 2 / Approved by you

A plan you sign off before a single page or campaign is touched. If you disagree with the priority order, this is where you say so, and it costs nothing to change.

  • Economics. What a customer is worth, what share of enquiries close, and therefore the cost per lead we are aiming at. Every later decision is judged against this number.
  • Query to page map. Every commercial search mapped to exactly one page, so your own pages stop competing and nothing gets written twice.
  • Build order. Which pages, in which weeks, and why that order. Usually technical debt first, existing pages second, new pages third.
  • Ad account structure. Campaign groupings, budget split, target cost per lead and the tracking that has to be live before launch.
  • Measurement. Which numbers we report monthly, which quarterly, and which ones we agree to stop looking at because they do not decide anything.

Stage 03

Build

Weeks 2 to 8 / Logged daily

The heaviest stretch of work, and the one most agencies keep behind a monthly report. Every task lands on a shared board with a name and a date, and you can open it any day of the week.

W2

Tracking before anything else

Conversion actions rebuilt and verified, call tracking installed, form events tested end to end. Launching campaigns on broken tracking trains the algorithm to buy the wrong traffic, so this comes first even when it delays a launch.
W2-4

Technical repairs

Indexation, speed, internal linking and canonical structure. Written as tickets your developer can action, or executed by us where we have access. This is the work that makes everything published afterward perform.
W3-6

Campaign launch

Search campaigns live with tight intent grouping and a first negative keyword list. We watch these daily for the first fortnight, because the first two weeks of search terms are where most of the future savings are found.
W4-8

Page and profile work

Existing commercial pages rewritten against real search intent, new pages shipped on the agreed schedule, Business Profile rebuilt, citations cleaned and the review flow switched on.

Stage 04

Compound

Month 3 onward / Weekly rhythm

This is where results come from, and it is deliberately repetitive. The accounts that win are the ones where somebody does the unglamorous work every single week for a year.

  • Every week. Search terms read line by line, negatives added, budgets moved toward what converts, losing ad copy replaced, rankings checked on the terms that matter.
  • Every month. A call with the specialist who did the work. Four numbers, what moved, what did not, and the single biggest bet for next month.
  • Every month. New pages shipped against the plan, technical re-audit, link outreach log updated, profile posts and review replies current.
  • Continuously. The shared board, open to you, showing what was done and when. No waiting for a report to find out what happened in week two.

Stage 05

Decide

Every quarter / Together

Once a quarter we stop working and look at the whole picture with you: what is producing, what has stalled, and where the next block of budget should go.

  • Channel by channel review of cost per lead and, where you can share it, closed revenue
  • A recommendation on shifting budget between SEO, Google Ads and Meta, including moving it away from us
  • The next quarter's page and campaign plan, agreed before it starts
  • An honest call on anything that is not working, made in the quarter it stopped working rather than the quarter you noticed

The quarterly meeting is the one where we sometimes recommend spending less. It has cost us revenue more than once. It is also the reason most of our clients have been with us for years rather than months.
